Zuidas is Amsterdam’s thriving business hub, with over 800 companies in the area. There are loads of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars in the area and, in this article, the Portland Brown team looks at some of our favourite places to eat and drink.

Bolenius

Bolenius is a contemporary, Michelin starred Dutch restaurant, described by the Michelin guide as having ‘a class of its own’. They use local ingredients and freshly picked vegetables from their garden right next to the restaurant to deliver a modern take on Dutch cuisine. And, for sunny days, the restaurant also has a terrace overlooking the plaza.

Grand Cafe Mahler

If you’re looking for something more casual, why not try the Grand Cafe Mahler? It serves a mouth-watering range of food, from midday snacks to evening meals. It also has meeting and flex-working spaces so, whether you’re hosting an off-site meeting or just need somewhere to work for an hour, it’s got you covered.

Circl

If you’re passionate about sustainability, why not try Circl? Its seasonal menu features local, sustainably sourced ingredients and innovative cooking styles which reduce waste. If you feel like a drink after dinner, there’s a gorgeous rooftop bar and green terrace, where you can enjoy artisanal teas and cocktails. It also offers meeting space and a packed programme of talks and events.

Manhattan Lounge Bar

Fancy a drink after work? Why not try the Manhattan Lounge Bar. Right at the heart of Zuidas, you can enjoy a wide range of cocktails in a sophisticated but relaxed setting. The bar is known for its friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. It’s a great option whether you’re looking for a quick drink or a meeting over dinner.
