Life at Pepys Street

9 May 2023

Looking for accommodation on the edge of the City but without the mayhem of commuters and tourists? You’ll find what you’re after at Pepys Street.

If you meander North from the iconic Tower Bridge, through the cobbled piazza and up into Trinity Square’s landscaped gardens, you’ll find yourself just moments away from our Pepys Street property. Whether you need a homely one-bed for a leisure stay or a roomy two-bed for a longer business trip, Pepys Street has plenty of both to choose from.

Continue across the open plaza to Cooper’s Row, past the hotels and restaurants which line the street, and soon you’ll arrive at 1 Pepys Street. Set back away from the commotion of Fenchurch Street on the corner of a peaceful backroad, this is the perfect location for those who want to dial down the pace of city living. The property’s tranquil spot might have you thinking you’re out in one of the sleepier neighbourhoods of West London, but a 5-minute wander in any direction will quickly remind you just how central this location is. Take your pick of the three tube stations within a five-minute walk or enjoy a leisurely stroll to some of London’s most popular areas, both north and south of the river. With green spaces, iconic attractions, and plenty of shops and eateries nearby, you’re spoilt by convenience at this property.

The Area

Pepys Street is nestled between a range of districts that all offer very different atmospheres and benefits. Being so close to the Thames, you have easy access to many of the city’s best riverside attractions, such as the Tower of London, St Katharine Docks Marina and a host of restaurants and bars with picture-perfect views. Venture across the instantly recognisable Tower Bridge to explore some great entertainment venues, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and The Scoop, a unique venue that frequently puts on free events in their sunken outdoor amphitheatere. If you haven’t quite had your fill of culture, you can check out the Golden Hinde before refueling at the world-famous Borough Market where you’ll have an abundance of mouthwatering options to choose from.

Round off the day with some fantastic views of the surrounding area and head up to the 34th floor of the Shard where you can enjoy specialty cocktails whilst you watch the sun set over the city. Once you’ve explored all the must-sees nearby, have a nosey around the neighbouring districts of Spitalfields, Farringdon and Holborn, and of course, the central areas of Soho, Covent Garden and Mayfair.
